Assesment methods :
Project preparation and presentation valued by 40 points, the final exam valued by 60 points. To pass the course with grade A, it is necessary to obtain at least 93 points , in the case of grade B at least 86 points, the grade C at least 79 points, the grade D at least 72 points and finally the grade E at least 64 points, respectively.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
To deepen knowledge on the roles of international conventions, EU regulations, national programs and legislation on the conservation and sustainable use of diversity of crop species in nutrition, farming, landscape and rural development.
Course contents:
Realization of tasks resulted from ratified international Convention on Biological Diversity connected with food security, production of healthy unexceptionable food, landscape design, environment, rural development, manufacturing, alternative energy sources and other increasing demands of population with respect to author’s rights and intellectual property rights, access to genetic resources, technology transfer, using traditional knowledge and technologies and also breeding new cultivars and hybrids for advanced production and processing technologies.
