Title of the thesis:Innovation in Local Self -- Government (Nitra City)
Summary:The objective of the presented diploma thesis was to define and examine innovations in Nitras local self-government and to propose innovation in form of new method of informing of inhabitants. The thesis presents approaches of how to define innovation in local self-government, its sources, classification, processes and factors affecting implementation of innovation in local self-government. The thesis focuses on examination of applied innovation at the level of local self-government in Nitra and following analysis of applied innovation and what are the final results of application. The theory of behavioral economics shows how to change peoples decisions to push them in different directions. In the second part of the thesis is analysis and application of behavioral economics and behavioral insights in inhabitants decision-making which results in proposal of new method of informing inhabitants using behavioral economics methods. The theory of behavioral economics is based on the psychological impact on people to promote their behavior and therefore improve relations of citizens and state representatives or municipalities. The thesis presents own research which shows the impact of behavioral economics on people in Nitra city. The materials and data were obtained from questionnaires and interviews, from own research processing as well as from the scientific and academic papers. The results are expressed as the comparison of two types of questionnaires: with the impact of behavioral economics in the questionnaires and without.
