Summary:
Abstract The goal of this thesis was to establish the current state of the management of sewage waters and evaluate the operation parameters of the sewage treatment plant in the town of Šaľa. At this time, in town of Šaľa and in villages of Tešedíkovo, Dlhá nad Váhom, Kráľova nad Váhom, Horná Kráľova, Žihárec and part of Diakovce, networks of sewers are built and in service. During the entire period of observation the volume of incoming sewage water was less than the original plan proposed. An exception being June 2010, occasioned by floods, which were subsequently mirrored in increase of inflow of sewage waters.Gradual decline of inflow of sewage waters almost entirely corresponds with the increase of C.O.D.Cr and B.O.D.5 in the year of 2011. Higher levels of ballast waters in incoming sewage waters diluted household sewage waters, which brought about lower concentration of substances in sewage waters.The average magnitude of 1,84 in ratio C.O.D.Cr to B.O.D.5 during observed period points to non-problematic degradation of biological substances. The efficiency of purification averages 97,78% (max. 99,23 %, min. 94,81%), or 94,58% (88,08 %, max. 97,92 %). The most variable values in sewage water are the amounts of cumulative nitrogen, in which on average, the efficiency of purification hovers at around 80,46%. In respect to amounts of B.O.D.5 in purified sewage water it is evident, that the discharged sewage water according to published analyses does not significantly influence the water in the recipient water body, since the levels are lower than those set by the NV SR.
