|My thesis captures important information about breeding of purebred dogs in Slovakia with focus on bullterriers. This thesis contains information about history of the dog breeding with origin in Slovakia. Then the thesis captures origin of the bullterrier, its characteristics and use. It also deals with problems at the origin of this breed as well as problems and challenges of present days, when bullterrier doesn't have to serve only as a fashion piece or a show dog as it usually happens but also as a vivacious companion during various activities that can be done with bullterrier. Bullterrier is a versatile breed and this thesis can contribute to its better understanding.|
