Title of the thesis:Energy demand of pellet production from agricultural biomass
Summary:The diploma thesis deals with energy demand of biomass processing. Biomass is an important alternative to depleting resources of fossil fuels and has the biggest potential as a renewable natural resource in our area. Growing prices of energy and heat make us search for the most optimal and the most economical alternatives to selection of biomass and its transformation into a specific product. One of the alternatives is the energy production using pellets. Our research data show, that the technical equipment used for grinding and pelleting has various levels of electric energy consumption. Consumption in specific types of biomass are counted in order to achieve the overall power consumption. The data we have derived tell us that little energy is consumed in the production of pellets from the chaff, and hay and barley straw finally.Based on the results of our thesis, we can say, that the energy costs of pelleting process differ significantly depending on the biomass input used in the process
