Summary:
The main aim of this bachelor‘s thesis is protection of competition, its importance in market economics and its necessity in economic policy of state. The content of the first chapter is a theoretical overview, which is the view of both domestic and foreign authors on the issue. The first chapter is also divided into four sub-sections, which enable you to better familiarize yourself with the theme. Gradually, dedicated to the competition and the market mechanism as the principles of market economy, perfect and imperfect competition, the importance of the protection of competition and antimonopoly policy. The second and third chapter bring closer the aim and methodology of work. The task of the fourth chapter, which is also my own work, was an analysis of the protection of competition in the Slovak Republic and putting theoretical knowledge into practice. Specifically, this chapter focuses on the activities, or more precisely on roles and responsibilities of the Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic.
