Title of the thesis:Rheumatoid arthritis
Summary:The bachelor thesis is based on an autoimmune disease – rheumatoid arthritis. The primary role of the work is to characterize the immune system and to introduce rheumatoid arthritis because there are not enough informations in our society and the general public thinks that this disease affects only the older people, but the opposite is true. The thesis is divided into several chapters. The third chapter and its subchapters are based on the theoretical part, where in the first subchapter there is defined immune system with corresponding lymphocytes and antibodies, which are characterized by collaboration on autoimmunity and autoimmune diseases. In the second subchapter, we are writing about the specific general characteristics of rheumatoid arthritis and etiopathogenesis from a genetic point of view and at the beginning of the diagnosis of this inflammatory disease. In the following subchapters, the drug treatment and the influence of nonmedical treatment are further defined for the study after the addition of fish oil and placebo, where the effects on a group of patients suffering from this disease have been investigated. The final pages are based on illustrative images of rheumatoid arthritis most frequently affected by the disease, and a questionnaire used to determine the most effective treatment at the higher stages of the disease – biological treatment where are defined the drugs used in this treatment.
Key words:rheumatoid arthritis, immunity, biological treatment
