Assessment of working quality of irrigation machines in terms of sprinkling uniformity
In submitted inaugural dissertation are presented the obtained research results of irrigation techniques used in Slovakia. The objective of work is focused on the description of the technical characteristics of irrigation techniques and factors affecting its functionality and affectivity according to the standards. In terms of solving the research the standards-based assessment methods of work quality were applied. In the presented thesis, we have designed measuring equipment to evaluate the longitudinal uniformity of spray pattern and software to evaluate the work quality of belt irrigators. The results were evaluated by measuring the uniformity of spray pattern of wide spread irrigators and belt irrigators under field conditions. Based on the evaluation of the work quality of pivot irrigators can be concluded that neither of irrigators did not meet the coefficient of uniformity threshold (> 90%) defined by standards. The best results were achieved with Fregat DMU A308 irrigator (71.70% - left beam, 71.66% - right beam). In determining the uniformity of spray, one of the smallest centre pivot irrigation machines, Fregat DMU A229, which had five bogies and a total length of 154.36m, was achieved a uniformity coefficient CuH 64.53% by the left beam and right beam uniformity coefficient of 72.84%. During the evaluation of the wide linear irrigators a minimum value of the spray pattern uniformity 80% were achieved (minimum of one measurement for a specific machine). In evaluation of belt irrigators, according to the standards, we have achieved the value of uniformity coefficient among all belt irrigators below 90%. The higher value of uniformity coefficient was observed when the belt irrigator equipped with a tripod and far jet sprayer was used. Growing carrots with fertilization has been shown to be advantageous, as identified on the basis of our results the increase of crop was 2.32t.ha-1. The average value of electrical conductivity of the solution was 1.86 mS. Uniformity of sprinkler irrigation reel hose irrigation machine Cipa 600GX (with irrigation trolley), the 0 m overlap was Cu = 66.82%. In examining of longitudinal uniformity was used an equipment designed at Department of Machines and Production Systems, Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra. By this equipment were carried out practical measurements on Bauer Rainstar 90/300 hose reel irrigation machine in 2010. The relative error of measurement 3,42% were achieved in our study. In the second case, the measurements were carried out by advanced equipment which allows data saving in memory (KSVS, 2012, change of electronics). The average value of the measured work speed was 12.26m.h-1, which represents a deviation of 2.7% compared to the set value (12.6m.h-1). The value of variation coefficient was 19.64 %. The designed software UCHRIS allows faster and less labour-intensive processing of the results achieved. The outputs of the software are the mean value, coefficient of spray pattern uniformity, optimal value of the overlap and processed image results.
