Summary: The aim of the thesis is to analyze and evaluate the current level of socio-economic development of the region on the basis of available sources of information and knowledge. It is primarily about the assessment of the factors of the internal environment - geography and the natural environment, human resources, economic potential and social and technical infrastructure. This analysis will provide the basis for the SWOT analysis and its conclusions will be implemented in the final comparison of the results of the analysis and the elaboration of proposals and recommendations for exploiting the potential of this region.
