In cooperation with the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) Vienna and its Institute of Landscape Architecture (Dr. Ulrike Krippner), the master thesis will focus on a comparative analysis of landscape architecture development in Austria and Slovakia throughout the 20th century. The thesis will be double-supervised (SUA Nitra - Dr. Tóth, BOKU Vienna - Dr. Krippner) and will focus on different development stages and design phases in Austria and Slovakia. The thesis requires good knowledge of English (mandatory) and German (mandatory), since it is necessary to conduct a study stay via Erasmus+ / Ceepus / Action Austria-Slovakia at BOKU and work in the L-Archiv (Archiv österreichischer Landschaftsarchitektur). The work will include the review of planning and design documentation from different time periods and re-visiting the period open spaces, in order to conduct spatial and social analysis of user behavioral.
