The standard approach in computable general equilibrium modelling has been to implement models as a square system of equations and solve for prices, activity and income levels. This approach might turn out not to be sufficient for modelling more complex policy instruments or more complex economic implications, which are not active in the equilibrium. In contrast to the other major models the objective of our project is to implement and carry out policy experiments with different flexible demand specifications such as LES and AIDADS. These functional forms expand the model flexibility and enrich its analytical properties. Moreover, we will implement more advanced policy instruments used in agricultural, environmental and trade policies.
