|Project description:||Fat tissue is a metabolic and endocrine organ. The adipocyte size positively correlates with the production of pro-inflammatory adipoxins and cytokines. The major role in the pathophysiology of insulin resistance and dyslipidemia is adiponectin and tumor necrosis factor-alpha. TNF-α is an activator of pro-inflammatory signaling cascades in fat tissue, which causes oxidative stress (OS).|
