The aim of proposed project is the isolation and characterization of stem and progenitor cells obtained from blood, bone marrow and adipose tissue followed by their cryopreservation and quality assessment of these frozen-thawed cells. Results obtained using the model organism (rabbit) allow to optimize the method of stem cell isolation and cryopreservation itself, as well as the cryopreservation of the samples from the domestic breeds of Nitra and Zobor rabbit in the animal gene bank.
