This page shows details on the project. The primary projects are displayed together with a list of sub-projects.

Project description:
The aim of the submitted project is to optimize the methodologies for obtaining, cryopreservation and quality evaluation of spermatozoa, embryos and stem cells of farm animal breeds that are endangered or at risk based on monitoring. These breeds are pinzgau cattle, two rabbit breeds (holic blue and slovak grey-blue rex) and one sheep breed (original valachian). Obtained results allow to extend the animal gene bank, established prespectively at NPPC Research Institute for Animal Production Nitra in collaboration with Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, for cryopreserved biological material.
