The anti-cancer potential of phytosubstances from traditional and non-traditional fruitsSupervisor: prof. Ing. Adriana Kolesárová, PhD.
This page shows details on the project. The primary projects are displayed together with a list of sub-projects.
|Project description:||The area of pharmacological and nutritional research is increasingly focused on the study of substances of natural origin that can effectively modulate cell activity, including pathological processes.Significant of their effects are, in particular, bioactive substances called flavonoids with a potentially high antioxidant and antitumor activity and an ability to eliminate cytotoxicity induced by environmental factors. Examination of the biological effects of traditional and non-traditional fruit species (pomegranate, black base, etc.) and their mechanism of the action on ovarian cells with the potential to eliminate the negative effects of toxicant will be the subject of the proposed project.|
