Project description:
The project deals with historical and current occurrence and ecology more than 20 rare archeophytic weeds. For many species this was the first comprehensive treatment of such issues. Assess the biodiversity in settlements areas with an increased occurrence of rare and endangered species of weeds. Current threat of selected archeophytic weed species in terms of criteria for the IUCN Red List update were also reviewed using study of historical data and field research. Based on historical research and our data obtained were processed database of sites of individual species and historical and current maps were prepared. Phytosociological records and the findings of the cultivation of cereals and other crops in the traditional way were obtained in undeveloped regions of Romania (Transylvania) and Slovakia (Hriňová, Krupina). The very important result was also the discovery of two new alien plant species for flora of Slovakia (Euphorbia maculata, Shinners rivularis).
