The amount of organic matter in soils of nearly all ecosystems is continuosly decresing. One of possibilities is physical stabilization of C in soil aggregates. Uniform criteria taking into account the potential of our soils for C sequestration does not exist. The project intends to assess the possibilities of physical stabilization of SOM in soil aggregates. These are derived from soil type, because many factors influencing this process are the result of soil genesis. Potential for increasing of C content is in possibilities of the regulation of factors, that are different with dependents on ecosystem. On the based of intensity of individual factors influence, will be create a system of criteria for scoring evaluation of potential for C sequestration in individual soil types.
