This page shows details on the project. The primary projects are displayed together with a list of sub-projects.
The project evaluates the impact of rising global commodity prices and economic slowdown on the food and nutritional security in Slovakia and Western Balkan countries. Econometric time-series models will be used to evaluate the price transmission from global commodity prices to domestic agricultural and food prices. Analysis of quasi panel data will be utilized to estimate the impact of prices, incomes and other variables on demand for food. Monthly data will be obtained from data base of FAO and Agricultural Paying Agency, while cross-sectional data for Slovakia and selected Western Balkan countries will be collected from national household budget surveys.
