Project description:
The focus of the project is to generate new knowledge about the level of anthropogenic and geogenic contamination of selected areas of the Slovakia by heavy metals in soils and consumed plant parts. Areas will be selected based on the level and nature of environmental contamination in connection with the expected increased risk of contaminants entering the food chain to humans. Based on the results shall cover monitoring of contaminants in individual components of the environment will define bioaccumulation ability of individual samples of plants and subsequently found levels exceeding the permitted tolerable weekly intake of carcinogenic risk and other health indicators for different types of berries and various contaminants. These values define the FAO and WHO to one man defined mass.
