Modulation effects of phytonutrients in relation to reproductive health and prevention of civilization diseasesSupervisor: prof. Ing. Adriana Kolesárová, PhD.
This page shows details on the project. The primary projects are displayed together with a list of sub-projects.
Modern biotechnologies are closely linked to nutritional research aimed at designing of phytonutrients, substances or antioxidants that can be effective natural therapeutic agents for the prevention and treatment of reproductive diseases including tumors, infertility and the elimination of negative environmental factors. The aim of the project is to investigate the effects of phytonutrients of medicinal plants, traditional and non-traditional fruits and their intracellular mechanisms by assessing cell viability, secretory activity, proliferation and apoptosis at the level of proteins, genes and receptors. The added value of the project will be the potential use of plant respectively fruit phytonutrients to improve consumer reproductive health as well as to prevent of civilization diseases.
