|The changing climate influences abiotic factors such as the temperature and moisture regime of an environment, which in turn affects phytopathological, biochemical and physiological processes in plants. Consequently, stem diseases are much more prevalent as opposed to the past. Stem diseases may be caused by fungi, bacteria and can also be indirectly initiated by phytoplasmas and viruses. The goal of the research is to find out which exact pathogens are the initiators of primary infection and to define mechanisms of its subsequent proliferation by using various agrotechnologies and conducting laboratory microbiological and molecular analyses.|
