Arboretum Mlyňany SAS fundated in 1892 fulfilled important missions in the sphere of introduction and acclimatization of woody plants. Determination of soil condition was neglected for a long time, despite the fact the soil belongs to the basic factors of successful grow of the woody plants. The main aim of project is the assessment of domestic and introduced woody plants impacts on alteration some soil properties. Soil characteristics from Arboretum locality will be compared with the soil intensively farmed and sampled in vicinity of the Arboretum and also in urban zones. On the basis of determined state to propose the set of measures for optimalization of soil properties for individual woody taxons.
